18MP 1" Sensor with a Vertical 3:4 Aspect Ratio
Inspired by the traditional half-frame format, the X half features a vertically oriented 1" sensor that captures 18MP stills and video in a 3:4 aspect ratio. Paired with FUJIFILM’s signature Film Simulation modes, this sensor delivers expressive imagery with a filmic aesthetic. Manual exposure control is available via the aperture ring and touchscreen controls, with an exposure compensation dial for intuitive adjustments.

Film Camera Mode – Digital Shooting, Analog Mentality
The Film Camera Mode replicates the classic film experience by allowing you to select a single Film Simulation and shoot in rolls of 36, 54, or 72 frames. Image previews and playback are disabled until the roll is completed and “developed” through the FUJIFILM app or your computer. Once the roll is finished, a digital contact sheet—complete with film borders—is automatically generated for easy viewing.
In this mode:
The LCD displays only essential info (frame count, focus mode, timestamp option, and manual focus scale)
Compositions must be framed through the optical window viewfinder
The Frame Advance Lever is used to move to the next shot
Autofocus provides no confirmation, or you can opt for manual zone focusing

Film Simulation Modes + Vintage Effects
With 13 iconic Film Simulations—from the vivid tones of Velvia to the muted nostalgia of Classic Chrome, and the refined monochrome of Acros—the X half emphasizes FUJIFILM’s legendary color science. The secondary mini touchscreen LCD on the back mimics a film camera’s rear window, letting you quickly swipe through film types.

You can customize border width, style, and background color to match your aesthetic.
